LO5: Creating the Print Based Advert
Official Logo:
This is the document settings for the logo of the film I am making a graphic design for.Next I added the font I'm going to use, this is the san serif font 'Impact', this is because the font is naturally bold and really stands out, I chose to also alter the vertical scale to 115% which makes the font a lot taller.
This forest silhouette (https://img.clipartfest.com/c4502b769fb433a50f825f77856d6086_forest-clip-art-at-clker-com-clipart-forest-silhouette_600-282.png) is what I'll be using in the production of the logo, as it will be a backdrop within the text.
I added the silhouettes to the document and composed it over the text.
I then used the 'Create Clipping Mask' option to show it as this;
The logo then comes to this, I chose the red and black, not just because they juxtapose each other, which makes it stand out, but because it's apart of the house style I'm trying to create. When placed against the dark background of the products, the black in the logo will join with the background, causing it to look something like this;
Finalised Logo:
Official Film Poster
Setting up an A4 sized document with a 300 ppi resolution.
I placed margins to make it easier to place the features that will be included in the Film Poster.
Next I added the fog and the logo.
I finished the poster by adding the credits, day of release and tagline.

The Gantt Chart:
The Budget:
The approximate amount I would need, if I was to actually distribute and create the print-based advert for the film, it would include the costing of;
A graphic designer:
For a graphic designer to make a poster in a month, it would cost on average £1,500

Apple iMac:
To do the work you would need a platform to work on and a standard Apple iMac would cost around £1,950

The Software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CC):
The software the print-based advert will be created on would cost in total, £91.46 a month.
Printing the print-based advert:
The price for one standard printed A3 sized poster is £7 with 100 being £20/25 on the instant print website.
